| i love bitterly cold mornings, especially that warm, flushed feeling i get in my face when i come inside as my blood vessels dilate from being constricted. it just makes me happy to be alive.

| a special thanks goes out to my roommate, Ben Ivey. thanks to him and his Netflix subscription, i finally got to watch Howl's Moving Castle last night. it was wonderful - more wonderful than i had even anticipated. my favorite of Miyazaki's films to date and certainly the best english cast.
so zack green really is going back to oklahoma for good. wow - im gonna miss that guy, not because we are super close buds, but because i think he's one of those people you only meet once in a lifetime. they enter, they play they part and then carry on their way. zack, my best wishes go out to you. i believe you will be successful at whatever you do - you can pretty much pull off anything.
lately i've been remembering more and more dreams, and they've been really vivid too. for instance, last night i had a dream that jimmy decided he wanted to leave his life in the USA and pursue his dream of living in Iceland. it was incredibly real - he was so serious about it. he said he had been thinking about for a while and was ready to leave everything he loved here for a chance to live in Iceland. i sure hope it's not true.
love, scottie v

i wish i could speak japanese.
maybe one day i will work for the military and get to go to japan.
then i will learn japanese.
love, scottie v
ps - i'll probably be over 35 before US troops are totally out of iraq. yikes.
